We use the most popular Fishing Charter business in the Hauraki Gulf – Coromandel Fishing Charters.

They operate two vessels, the ‘Joint Venture’ and the ‘Rueben Jack’. Both are 51 ft Westcoasters powered with a 600hp engine and can carry from 10 to 22 people for fishing and up to 32 people for scenic cruises or functions.

On board you will find a BBQ that passengers are free to use, and a conventional toilet, kitchen, inside and outside seating with tables and partial shelter on the deck to protect you from the sun.

The boats have been fishing around the Coromandel and Hauraki Gulf area doing fishing charters for about many years and the skippers know some prime winter fishing spots.

Salt Flake Ice – this is essential to ensure that your catch is kept as   fresh after a couple of hours as it was when you caught it.

If you don’t look after your catch then you shouldn’t be going fishing
